Wonderful Resource for Music Teachers December 15, 1999
This CD is perfect for teaching rhythm. I have used it with grades 2 through 5 in identifying rhythms. They are able to layer in ostinato patterns along with the instruments playing on the CD. The students also are able to choreograph movement to go with the selections on the CD. This is a perfect resource for any music teacher.

This first-time, self-produced recording showcases the seasoned musical skills of Dr. Scott's carrer as a musician, composer and educator. His forays into experimenting with a carefully chosen, exuberant array of sounds and rhythms makes this collection of percussive compositions a joy to experience. Underlaid with a solid foundation of musicianship, and crafted with loving detail, the tunes on this CD exude an energy that I found give me energy when I have none, and lift me into a new and joyous awareness. In addition to playing this recording for the enjoyment of its many different rhythmic flavors, this is a perfect CD for rush hour listening!
