Something for Everyone! October 5, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This new CD has such a variety of great music, everyone will find something to enjoy! The Andean flutes are ethereal, haunting...the upbeat Mexican corridos are fun and will have you dancing around the room! Even if you've never listened to Latin American folk music before, you'll immediately love this...and you don't even have to know Spanish, as English translations of all the song lyrics are included!

This is one of those rare CDs that you will listen to over and over. Your whole family will love it. The kids want to play it whenever we are in the car. These songs make you want to sing, and dance, and dream. Hope we hear more from this group.
An Acoustic Latin American Mosaic September 10, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Grupo Germinal presents a compelling mixture of different styles of Latin American folk music on this new CD. Whether you like beautiful vocal harmonies, evocative instrumental pieces, exquisitely played South American flutes, or a toe-tapping "cumbia" or "corrido", you'll appreciate this well-crafted and thoroughly enjoyable introduction to the richness of Latin American folk genres.
