A refreshing change from all that August 12, 2007
I just happened to stumble onto Cheryl Bliss while searching for new, independent music. The big record labels and mainstream has gotten so formula and boring. This is a refreshing change from all that. The music style is sort of, new age, meets folk, meets electronica with some pop and rock edge mixed in. Not the usual one dimensional formula. And Cheryl has a way of singing that is, breathy and soft but edgy and even a bit mystical and sexy too. There is also no contrived, star maker manufacturing company or hit machine behind this. Just a great, talented lady playing her own songs with some excellent musicians too. The music, lyrics and songs in general are well put together, recorded and quite good. This is one lady that should have a major label behind her. There is hope. This is good stuff...
