Music to Inspire the Inner Self... April 23, 2008
Beethoven was born in 1770 and was a master at this kind of soothing music. In these troubled times, we need this kind to listen to enhance our spirits. He wrote religious compositions like "Christ on the Mount of Olives" and his only opera, 'Fidelio.'
The word 'inspired' means to be filled with the spirit of God. He had a painful ear problem which caused him to loose his hearing at age 30. Because of the pain he lived a solitary life until his death at 57. He could not live in his world, so he clung to the life and world of art. Spiritual qualities are the trademarks of his works. There are several other "inspired" classical CDs, but this is by far my favorite.
