Excellent recordings of selected artists December 11, 2003

I thought the recordings highly recommended by KDFC was very well-done and I enjoyed the Sicilienne with flute and harp composed by Faure- its very lovely and makes an excellent night music. The highly impressive Beethoven's 6th Symphony with the second movement, the Andante molto moto titled, The Brook was filled with the highlights and the representation of what occurred at the brook. The horn serenade is especially the one that I love titled Nocturne by Mendelsohn as taken from Midsummer's night Dream. The horn solo, graced by the horns accompanied later at the conclusion, by the full orchestra was absolutely lovely. I have loved the French horn and to me this has grown to be an enormous favorite of mine even though Beethoven is my favorite composer. I highly recommend Islands of Sanity 2 it is absolutely dramatic, colorful and an impressive rendition of the most beloved pieces ever created to satisfy our cravings for classical music.
