| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The modern alternative rock band Trance of Mine (TOM) is the absolute must for fans of Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Tea Party, A perfect Circle, and The Gathering. TOM?s music is a unique blend of strong melodic female vocals, powerful guitars & bass riffs, subtle electronics and mesmerizing ethnic/acoustic instruments. With its first album ?Reflections?, TOM has found great balance between original melodies and intense instrumental atmospheres, leaving the listeners completely addicted. Talented Graphic Artist Travis Smith (Opeth, Devin Townsend) created the 12-page booklet and cover, giving ?Reflections? an attractive and unique visual edge. Trance of Mine has shared the stage with internationally renowned bands like Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, and Katatonia.

Intensity December 15, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
First of all, I came to Trance of Mine name after being kind of dissapointed, and in the process of facing A Perfect Circle's end. I was looking for some new (for me) music that resembles in some way APC... However, this is not what I was looking for, in spite of being in the Editorial Review... this is NOT a lot like APC. It sounds familiar, but it's far more in Evanescence's kind of music. Or Lacuna Coil's. The female voice makes a strong position on this. The album opens with the best song: Distant Ground (IMO). It features the melodic riff we like, and the intense voice of Isabel Plant in such way you will forget Evanescencse success. (You can download this song for free from the Trance of Mine website) To be fair, you can't review this album song by song, because it's excellent from start to finish. You can, however, say that there's some outstanding points, like the mentioned above, and the end: Daedalus, a mystic composition in a very fashion way. Finally, I'd like to say that this is one of a kind album. You won't regret it...

A must to discover May 13, 2005 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ever since I started listening to this album, it has been quite hard to stop. Just the name itself leads one to expect something hypnotic, can't quite explain it really, but like in most cases, the music just speaks for itself.
I find it different from most of the stuff you hear nowadays, that's actually a good thing. Fans of bands like Evanescence, The Gathering or Lacuna Coil, for example, will probably delight themselves with "TOM".
If you're looking for some song tips, I could just mention the whole thing, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. But let's face it, there isn't a single song here that I don't like, and that for itself should say enough.
