It sets your mind. September 22, 2001 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is one volume in the Set Your Life to Music series by Phillips. The songs are gentle lullabies which when heard while sad and alone, enhance that bittersweet longing for that certain person. They may even inspire you to go out and find that person! Undoubtedly critics will say the songs are kitschy and that listening to compilations such as this is inferior to dedicated study of a composer's work. Well maybe. But life is not steam cleaned, sanitizied, and wrapped in plastic and I'll take my music any way it has an effect.
Bravo to Phillips for this wonderful series March 29, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not only am I delighted with this enchanting compilation but with the lullabies for lovers, chopin and champagne, beethoven for readers and bedtime. The list goes on. It is rare for compilations to pull off the cover promise but this series does from the upbeat mozart for breakfast and commuting to the soulfull and truly tranquil Debussy for Daydreaming I am overjoyed with each CD I have purchased. If you love classical music or would like to then this series is a treasure and great way to experience the best of the best
Lullabies for Lovers is absolutely beautiful music December 16, 1999 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've listened to this CD over and over again and never tire of it. The musicians and orchestrations are of excellent quality and the choices of musical pieces are delicious.
