for you storm lovers July 20, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Refreshing, thundering, energetic and romantic, that's what this collection brings you. It'll certainly put you in the right mood with the right weather. I can't wait for my favorite stormy summer nights. My only complaint is the performance on some of the tracks was barely acceptable (like track 8). All in all, this is a great collection, and this is a great series.
Splendid accompaniment to a storm... March 15, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is to rainy weather...lightning and thunder and all...what the soundtrack to Fantasia is to that movie. This is not all calm music to relax to but brilliant, passionate recordings with all the peaks and lulls of a storm...another kind of soundtrack, if you will. This is one of my favorites of this magnificent series of Classical Collections. Whether you like the marketing of these discs or not, I think the thing to realize is this a great music presented at a great price. And the sound is superb and rich....top notch recordings. I've bought 9 of the titles from this series and love them all.
