An outstanding sampling of the artist June 2, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
For shame on the previous reviewer for giving this only two stars. This is a collection of 18 orchestral tracks featuring James Galway on flute. It is relaxing, easy listening orchestral music. I had the good fortune to hear him live some years ago when he was performing at the Kennedy Center. All arrangements on this CD are by Hiro Fujikake (play time is 69:03).
2 Stars for Flutists; 4 for those who enjoy listening to it October 19, 2002 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a huge fan of Sir James Galway but was bothered by this disc. His playing is enjoyable if you can tune out everything but his flute. I didn't care for the arrangements at all.I'm more into James Galway doing traditional flute repertoire- like his cd of Mercadante Concertos- AMAZING... skip the fluff recordings where his label has been mixing past performances and including them on new releases...
My favorite Galway (so far) January 27, 2001 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
The is the first recording I had by Galway. It is excellent - so relaxing. Everyone who hears it comments on how beautiful it is. I use it often for background music to de-stress my life.
