Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Keith Chagall is just as much a quality songwriter as he is a musician, and this shines through in his uplifting and socially conscious music. Crafted around memorable melodies, harmonic beauty and an array of instruments, which add layer upon layer of feeling and emotion to his music, it's obvious why fans have taken to Keith Chagall with such fervor. Chagall's music conveys a timely message: Love is everywhere you find, and the commitment to that search, will get you through. These qualities that are in us all will be the saving grace for this world.

With musical guru Richard Perry serving as consultant, Chagall co-produced Soundlight with Grammy winning engineer Chris Brooke to create a tapestry of sonic bliss. Mastering was handled by Brian Gardner, who received a Grammy for Album of the Year on Outcast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.

However, the most astonishing fact is that many people thought he would never sing or play guitar again. The Colombian-born singer/songwriter needed extensive neuro- spinal surgery following a head on auto-accident that would have put an end to most careers. But thanks to many answered prayers, the incredible skills of the surgeons and despite the fact that Chagall's vocals chords had been retracted during surgery, the artist fully recovered and has come back more determined than ever. These life-altering events to Chagall seemed to parallel the global upheaval of recent events. In that creative framework, "Soundlight", "We All Go On", and "Nicole" were written, recorded and produced for inclusion on the album. " I wanted to create something truly rich sonically, that would send vibrations of well-being to those that heard it and were open to it." Music lovers everywhere cannot afford to miss this one.

4 out of 5 stars Worth your money   July 16, 2004
When I first listened to Soundlight, goose bumbs rose up on my arms. That is the truth. I know good song writing when I hear it, and this cd is good from beginning to end. I hope Keith Chagall is planning future releases, because I'm hungry for more. The tunes are well written, well produced, and have a familiar Rutles/Badfinger edge that really hits home. I'm really enjoying this one.
