Product Description
Your sound shouldn't change when you put on a capo. With Dunlop, you'll come through loud, clear and in tune.

4 out of 5 stars Very Well Constructed   March 18, 2008
This capo is very well constructed and also very easy to setup on your guitar. I find it to hold the strings perfectly and the acoustic ring of the strings are as you would expect. I would recommend this item.

3 out of 5 stars Stiff but tough   January 13, 2008

This is a solidly constructed bit of kit. It doesn't feel like its going to break any time soon. I've used it on my electric and acoustic and it works very nicely on both. Good cushioning ensures no marks or scratches even if you're a little rough taking it off. On the down side, it is very stiff to open. I had hoped it would ease up with use but is still taking no prisoners. I often have difficulty getting it onto the guitar. I would not recommend this if you are buying for a child, elderly or not so strong in the hands. I would also not recommend it if you are planning to use your capo on stage- it can lead to some embarrasing pauses whilst you wrestle with it!

4 out of 5 stars QUICK ON; QUICK OFF! GREAT "TOOL" MOST ALL OF THE TIME!   November 17, 2007

AS A LONG-TIME PICKER/SINGER (48 YEARS) OF BOTH 6 AND 12 STRING ACOUSTIC, I HAVE GONE THROUGH THE GAMUT OF CAPOS, AND THESE ARE THE TOPS IN MOST INSTANCES.

MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CAPO MATCHES YOUR GUITAR FRET DESIGN: FLAT VERSES MILDLY ARCHED.

THE ONLY TIME YOU WILL HAVE ANY TROUBLE IS WITH A HIGHER-ACTIONED GUITAR (MY SINCERE WISH FOR THE READER/PICKER IS THAT YOU NEVER HAVE TO PUT UP WITH ONE UNLESS YOU NEED TO!), ESPECIALLY 12 STRING AND ESPECIALLY WITH HEAVIER GAUGES OF STRINGS.

USE THE AVAILABLE COLOR CHOICES TO KEEP CAPOS ORGANIZED FOR THE PROPER GUITARS IN YOUR PLAYING COLLECTION. THIS IS A GREAT NEWER OPTION IN THE MARKETPLACE!

REMEMBER, YOU GIVE AWAY SOME INSTRUMENT VOICE AND RESONANCE BY USING A CAPO (MORE WITH SOME "BOXES" THAN OTHERS, ESPECIALLY GOING FURTHER UP THE NECK TO HIGHER NOTES). TRY THIS WONDERFUL MULTIPLISTIC RATIONALIZATION: OWN AND PLAY MORE THAN ONE GUITAR OF VARIOUS TYPES, AND KEEP SOME TUNED ABOUT I WHOLE MUSIC STEP (NOTE) LOWER, USING MEDIUM GAUGE STRINGS. THIS CUTS DOWN ON THE NUMBER OF TIMES THAT YOU HAVE TO USE THE CAPO, AND GIVES SOMEWHAT MORE "OPEN" VOICE TO THE GUITAR (DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE CONCEPT OF BAROTONE GUITARS!!! I'VE BEEN DROOLING FOR A YEAR! CHECK OUT WIKIPEDIA FOR A VARIETY OF TYPES AND DEFINITIONS ((ESPECIALLY GREG MUSTAPICK'S INSTRUMENTS AND THE DESIGN VARIABLES!)): PRICES VARY GREATLY, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, IN GENERAL.).

I ALSO USE A CAPO DESIGN LOOKING LIKE THE LETTER "C", WITH A LEVER AND A SET SCREW. ALTHOUGH A LITTLE MORE BOTHER TO APPLY, THE FIT IS MORE FIRM AND EXACT...JUST DON'T MAKE IT SO TIGHT THAT THE STRINGS OR THE NECK FINISH GET DENTED! (MY 1962 GIBSON "J-50" STILL HAS A RUINED NECK FINISH FROM MY MORE CARELESS YOUNGER DAYS.)

HAPPY MELODIES!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Capo   October 10, 2007

I've just ordered this Dunlop capo. It's great! Easy to put on and off, as well as move up frets. It seems very strong and durable. Keeps the same sound of your guitar and holds down all the strings just like a capo should.
