5 out of 5 stars Great Design and Functionality   March 28, 2008
I think this product is great. It is small and perfectly sized for my acoustic. Even if other products are slightly cheaper, this guitar stand is built much better and will last a lifetime.

I was looking for a small and sturdy acoustic guitar stand. This model serves my main purpose. It is sturdy and foldable.

On the other hand, I would consider that it has a design flaw that could be improved. The guitar is slanted backward at an angle while being on the stand, instead of standing upright. This position creates 2 negative effects. First, the guitar and the stand together takes quite a bit of space. While the footprint of the stand is only 1 foot, the guitar has to be 2 feet away from a wall. Second, at this angle, the guitar face catches quite a bit of dust. And I suspect that more dust and dirt will enter the acoustic hole.

Would I buy this stand again? Probably not because of its space hogging design.

5 out of 5 stars Sturdy and Compact guitar stand   February 26, 2008
I use this stand in my family room and love it. It is sturdy, takes minimal space, and keeps my acoustic guitar at my finger tips. It is adequately padded to protect my guitar.

5 out of 5 stars small, sturdy, easy transport   February 24, 2008

If your looking for a well made guitar stand look no further. I have two that I use constantly from practice to gigs. When I got my first stand I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my bass on the stand because it does not appear to have any neck support but as soon as I placed it on the stand it suddenly became almost immoveable. The padding on the pegs and the triangular pad where the body touches holds your instrument without doubt, no slipping or sliding, while leaving no marks on your instrument. With the wide base it will not tip over like light weight tripod stands. Take your instrument off and put the legs together and it can be stuffed in anywhere for transport, no buttons to press, no parts to take off and lose, no hydraulics/clutches that will strip or wear out. Works great with my basses, electric guitars and acoustics.
