Best investment ever! October 11, 2008 I got this keyboard when I was visiting family in the U.S. and needed something to practice and write my music on. This is the only keyboard I found with semi-weighted keys which comes in 3 sizes (49, 61 or 88 keys) the touch feel is great! it also has on board controls for volume, velocity, pitch bend and advanced controls. it comes with a USB or MIDI inputs as well as an analog output and AC input if you don't want to use the USB. they keyboard itself is very light-weighted and is carry-able if you need to travel with it. overall it was one of the best investments I've made in a long time!
Wash hands to avoid cancer September 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is by far the cheapest and most full featured controller in this price range BUT it comes with a warning sticker about how you need to wash your hands after each use to avoid getting cancer or causing birth defects! Screw that.
I think this is despicable business practice and I only wish I could do more to hurt M-Audio's reputation than this.
great product August 28, 2008 comes with everything you need to make a great song. I enjoy mine for hours.
M-Audio Keystation 61es March 9, 2008 For the money, I think this is a fair deal; although it didn't completely meet my needs. After I bought I decided that I should have gone with the 61-note Axiom model instead. The things I needed that I don't get are 1) spilt-zoned keyboard and 2) a volume pedal jack (for swell in organ and live volume control with everything else, additional controllers (drum pads etc.). Hey, I bought it, so the lack of these features did not detract from the rating which I gave it; i.e., I didn't use the lack of these features to count against it.
I can only give this keyboard 3 stars and here is why. It's mediocre. Does what it does... no more no less. The keyboard feel is not especially great, but not too bad either. It 'gives' too much and the resistance is not at all like that of many Roland/Yamaha/Kurzweil instruments I've played, but it's not bad either.
Again, you get what you pay for and I suppose this would be a great keyboard for some other folks. I think that all-in-all, it's a fair price. 3 stars.... if you need more, pony up for the axiom 61 also sold here on amazon. I wish I had done so... I will soon.
Great value, Amazon delivery was SLOW. February 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Keyboard is a really nice and a great value. Delivery was promised in 5-9 days and was backordered for 30 days. I would have ordered from another vendor had I known.
