Works very well April 10, 2008 I am new to the violin but I found these drops to work very well when tuning the wooden pegs on it.Didnt think I would need it when I bought my violin but it is a good thing I did.Its annoying to have your pegs slip out of place and having to tune constanly.
Not exceptional, but it does as advertised. April 7, 2008 I ordered a bottle of this stuff because my violin's pegs wouldn't stay in place, so I couldn't tune it. Once applied, the pegs stayed wherever I twisted them to without being sticky. You might say this liquid is much too expensive, but its effect cannot be achieved by common household materials. Besides, a single bottle will last years.
Just spend the couple of dollars. Think of it this way: without being properly tuned, you cannot continue playing your instrument.
Helps hold tune March 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am teaching myself to play violin. When I bought my new outfit, the pegs were super loose! I had to really push them hard to stay in place, and then do all my tuning with the fine tuners. After a few drops of this stuff, the pegs are much more usable. I think I used it 2 or 3 times (whenever the pegs would get loose again), and now the pegs seem to have set in well.
A Good Investment May 13, 2007 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought the Original Peg Drops by Ardsley because I practice violin every day at least twice a day. I wore out the pegs on my student violin with frequent change of strings that wore out, so I felt the peg drops would be a good investment for the care of my new orchesta violin.
What I like the best about the drops is while my new violin is "settling" there isn't a wood on wood grinding noise while tuning, and the drops aren't like a glue.
I hope this is helpful.

This product is awesome. My violin wouldn't stay tuned, and I found this product. It works wonders.
