 Features are nice but it is difficult to get a tune April 22, 2008
I am using this device with a 6 string acoustic, steel guitar.
Before this I had a vibration based tuner and I find that this device lacks in consistency on the tuning end. Sometimes it will pick up the right note every time. Other times I have to pluck the string 10-20 times before it will read. I try varying it too. Fleshy pick, fingernail pick, soft, hard, smooth, fast. It just seems too inconsistent.
If I had it to do again I'd buy another vibration based tuner.

For the price this is a nice little tuner. Even in the dark. And the chord finder is a must for newer guitarists. A+++

Precisely as described. I've used it to tune a six-string acoustic guitar and I am very pleased with the performance. The chord finding feature is useful and easy to use. Besides, the device is light and fits in your palm. Arrived almost immediately after ordering.
 Not exactly what I expected October 27, 2007
Product is good for finding chords without having to look a chord chart, but I did not have good luck with the tuner. Tried many times to tune, but had no luck. Not sure if the tuner does not work properly or it's just sensitive. Anyhow, I re-purchased a Korg tuner,gave away first one, which works great and is easy to use.

Very easy to use. Just turn it on and pluck each string. The microphone works well and gives good range. The chord display feature is handy too in case you for get your chords. It turns off by itself to save battery after disuse.
