This is an economy pitch pipe that requires the precise amount of airflow to produce a steady tone. It's ok for a strictly limited budget, but I would suggest investing a little more if you have the funds available.

Whatever happened to equal temperament? About three of the 13 pitches on this thing are in tune.
I bought this assuming that it would be in tune, even though it was so cheap, because I didn't believe anyone would sell a pitch pipe that didn't play the proper pitches. I was horribly wrong.
It still is better than no pitch pipe at all, though, unless you have perfect pitch. The notes are less than a semitone off from being properly tuned, in all cases.
