| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Wirething Clear Acrylic Steel Wire Guitar Pick combines the strength, sound, and feel of traditional metal picks with the light weight and ergonomics of plastic picks. The grip is a custom contoured surface that's very easy to hang onto. Super-hard stainless steel wire provides high strength without magnetic attraction to electric guitar pickups. Thin rounded wire wrapped in a plastic grip eliminates the contact of skin to pick for an amazing clean twinkling tone without noise or clicking. The rounded wire slides on the strings rather than scraping like flat metal picks. The smooth feel on a classic nylon or steel acoustic provides picking perfection, especially if you're burning it up.

Grating July 1, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I tried this pick just because it is so different from other picks and I liked the appearance. It fits very well in my hand and the plastic handle is extremely comfortable and has some texture so that it doesn't easily slip. HOWEVER, the metal pick component is absolutely grating against metal strings, particularly the wound ones. For strumming chords, it generates an abrasive sound that I truly couldn't stand. It was better for flatpicking, but still initiated every note with a metallic "twang" that wasn't particularly pleasant. In sum, I'd say I like the ergonomics of the pick, but the metal part is terrible for its purpose - if they make a new one with some other material for the pick component, I'd try it, but I won't be using this kind of pick again.
