Excellent 3-in-1 accessory May 15, 2007 A metronome, chromatic tuner and tonal tuner all in one. The metronome is easy to use with buttons to increase or decrease rate, and an additional button to can accent every 2nd beat up to every 7th beat. The 2 tuners are useful additions. It has a little pop-out stand that can be used to sit the device upright. It makes a woodblock sound for the rhythm which is fairly standard for most metronomes (although some just make beeps).
I found the volume to be adequate for my purposes, I would suggest that if you need a louder alternative (for playing in groups/ensembles) you could use the earphone jack.
It'll get the job done. August 1, 2006 I've used my Sabine MT9000 for a couple of years now. It gets the job done, but as a music major in college, there are several feature that would be handy that just aren't included.
One, the volume isn't quite loud enough on its own to be heard over the instruments. You can plug into an amp though and solve that problem.
Second, the tempo increments are preset. That can be a problem when trying to practice a hard passage. You might only want to move one or two clicks at a time, but the metronome is preset to four or sometimes even six. That can be a bit too much speed at times.
Other than those minor issues, I've had good luck with the Sabine MT9000. It's a nice average 3-in-1 combo that'll get the job done.
Sabine Tuner - Good first impression June 17, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mainly I am writing this in response to the review I just read here. Lady-- IT HAS A TWO YEAR WARRENTY!!! SEND IT BACK! Sheesh!
I got this model becaise I had heard great things about Sabine's higher end rack mount tuners and I wanted a good chromatic tuner with a metronome. It has both and appears to be more versatile than the Boss or Korg of the same size and price range. I'll right a REAL review when I've used it for a few months. Till then, if the sound goes out - contact Sabine.... they seem to have a good reputation I'm sure they'll do you right.
A total dud May 8, 2005 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
This worked well for my daughter for about 2 weeks then the sound died, which meant there no no metronome beat and no tuning function. Unfortunatley, I was unable to return it in the deadline period (one of the hazard of being a working professional and single mother) so it was a total waste of money. Very dispointing.
