2 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay For...   March 21, 2007

I recieved an unplayable instrument, both pipes were not tuned to unison. I was told by the seller that they "came like that", and that I could return mine (at my own shipping cost) for a replacement, but with no guarantee of better quality. At the low cost I paid for this instrument, I was not about to waste more money on sending it back for another instrument of indeterminate quality.

I have bought a wide variety of instruments from this company and have never been disappointed! I love the sound of the two mijwizs I purchased and am impressed by how reasonable the cost was. The only reason someone might not be pleased with the mijwiz is if they aren't familiar with Indian instruments.

It arrived in perfect condition. i've had none of the complaints that D. Meadows had-- it even suprised me how well in-tune it was, considering it costs as much as your average kazoo. i've had many hours of fun with this thing. it's really a fun instrument, i love the somewhat harsh nasal tone typical of middle-eastern reed instruments (but i'm sure my neighbor doesn't! it can get pretty loud and piercing. but it's ok, i'm not too fond of his smashmouth-playing, either. it works out in the end )

It's not playable...The mouth pieces are not even hollowed out.
I'm returning it to the company.
