This GP-50 3 Piece BLUE Junior drum set features a hi-hat stand for added fun and to help develop your child's 4-way coordination. The smaller size of this drum set is perfect for the young student drummer. With fully tunable top and bottom heads, real wood shells & chrome plated metal hardware, its durable quality will hold up to your child's playing! The snare drum and adjustable angle tom are both 10" and have 5 lugs each. The 11"x16" bass drum has 12 lugs and features attractive color-matched inlaid rims and a ported drum head for a pro-like "look". Includes: snare drum stand, hi-hat stand and drum stool - all with adjustable height, brass cymbals, spring-loaded bass drum pedal, cymbal arm, drum sticks and tuning key. Recommended for ages 3 to 7 and smaller 8 year olds. Makes a wonderful music gift for kids! Replacement parts are also available. Some assembly is needed for this drum set. Easy set-up instructions are included. The color is an attractive metallic midnight blue - which looks almost black... but when light reflects off of it, you can see a dark blue.

Plan to set aside plenty of time to put this together (the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars) but the company is very helpful in assisting you with the assembly. Once finished, your child will have a terrific first drum set!

We recently purchased this drum set for our Eight year old son for Christmas. He loves it so now all he needs is lessons. This is a great beginner set.

It will "grow" with the child. It is sturdy and made to last. My grandson loves it.

The GP50BL is a perfect first set for a youngster. Fit and finish are outstanding, for the price. I expected less and got more!I'm also a musician, but not a drummer, so I know "just enough". My young Grandson will have a wonderful Christmas! Although the set is as I've said, the instructions for set up would be better done by a natural English speaker. A very helpful web-site with instruction for set up was provided by my supplier. I recomend it and the supplier. If my Grandson progresses on the drums, I'll certainly return to this supplier for a larger drum set.
