Product Description Ta-ta-ta-boom-boom! Whatever the rhythm, this electronic digital drum system can deliver. All you need is the talent and skill. At only 14.6" x 19.7" x 6.2", you don't have to dedicate a room for this set of 7 pads that, essentially, take place of 7 drums and cymbals. Pad sounds may be selected from a menu of 215 voices. With a USB host connector, you can transfer drum sounds to a PC for editing or recording. There are 2 built-in speakers and a jack for adding an optional headphone (for your privacy and out of respect for others around). The Spectrum AIL601 has been preloaded with 100 preset songs so you can tap along with the melodies. Using drumsticks and 2 foot pedals, play is quite like a standard drum set but the digital electronics offer more power and capability. For learning, playing, and enjoying, the AIL601 digital drum pack is an easy beat. Unit Dimensions - 7.52 Lbs (WxLxH) 14.6 x 19.7 x 6.2

Great Sound - Great Value March 22, 2008 I bought this electronic drum set for my six year old boy to pound on (and maybe learn something with eventually). Having a percussion background, I immediately started looking at the more expensive models from the better brand names. I found that the cost for a set that had 7 pads and two pedals was way out of line for my son's use. However, I wanted to have the 7 pads and the 2 pedals so he and I could both enjoy playing it as a five-drum kit with 2 cymbals and a hi-hat. I made the decision to get this unit and have not had a single regret. Great sound with the pre-programmed kits and the programmable sounds as well. I used a simple practice pad stand and made a mount for the drum kit. With an added small seat, my son and I are really enjoying playing along with our favorite tunes.
Gift for the hubby January 18, 2008 Husband gave up the full set when we downsized. He now has a set that can go where ever he goes and practice whenever he wants. This was the best gift I could have given to him.
Very Cool January 18, 2008 This was definately the highlight of Christmas Morning. My son loves it. Most toys are played with for a couple weeks then shelved this is still in heavy use
Pretty Good :) January 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What you see is what you get. Its pretty decent for what i paid for it. Has trigger, pad assign, the footpedals seem solid and it sounds pretty decent as a standalone. I bought this because im building a home studio and i wanted something for drums that would link up with my computer. This baby has a USB port and midi capabilities so im pretty sure it will fill the bill and cheaper then i could find from any other product like it. If there was anything i would change about it, id make it out of something other then the plastic its made out of...its seems pretty fragile, though i havent had any problems so far and im not gonna be bashing it against anything anytime soon so i guess it will do. All in all it seems pretty good so far
Spectrum 7-pad digital drum set with 2 foot pedals January 9, 2008 Great drum set for my 8-yr-old and 10-yr-old sons, but I would have liked for it to have come with a stand and headphones, which we will now be ordering separately. Easy to use. Good value for the product. Nice demo sounds.
