Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal is the perfect product for keyboard players who want the most realistic pedal action. The SP-2 model is used in the same manner as the sustain pedal on an acoustic piano. This classic-style pedal works with any M-Audio keyboard. Designed to work and feel just like an acoustic piano's sustain pedal, it has a specially designed rubber bottom that grips the floor and stays put while you play. The SP-2 is a high-quality damper pedal with expressive half-pedal capabilities.

5 out of 5 stars Great for what it is - a on/off sustain pedal   September 24, 2008
as mentioned by another reviewer, this is a on/off switch type of sustain pedal, either sustain or no sustain. So it's more like a guitar pedal than a piano one. But again, expensive electric pianos come with their own pedals. This one I bought to be used on a cheap Casio keyboard from Costco. So I didn't expect it to work like a real piano pedal to begin with. Considering the price, this pedal is rock solid and works way beyond my expectation. Great piece of work. Thanks M-Audio!

5 out of 5 stars Nice action!   September 12, 2008
I'm delighted by this pedal. It makes my Casiotone seem that much less cheesy, and I enjoy playing it much more now. I miss the baby grand I grew up with, and having faux piano action on a smooth-looking sustain pedal makes a difference for some reason. I recommend this over any other model.

5 out of 5 stars Great, sturdy pedal! Works even with my WK-1200   September 6, 2008
This pedal comes out of the box with pretty much only the pedal and the cable that leads to the assignable jack. I hooked it up to my CASIO WK-1200 and it works like a charm. I even use my keyboard as a midi controller in REASON 4.0 and the sustain is beautiful. Gives my piano pieces MUCH more life. This pedal is also extremely sturdy. It's bigger in person than on the pictures and it stays very, very firm on the ground. It comes with this hard plastic cover over the pedal tongue, but I don't see why It should be removed.

5 out of 5 stars Works great and very sturdy   August 22, 2008
I bought this for my son's Casio Previa. It has always performed well and it is very sturdy. I even vacummed the cord by accident and shredded it, but after splicing it back together and wrapping it in electrical tape it worked again--no problems.

5 out of 5 stars Great Pedal, Sturdy, Easy to use   August 22, 2008
I bought this pedal about a month ago and I love it. It is heavy and feels sturdy like you would want a pedal to feel. It has a switch on the bottom that makes it compatible with more keyboards. I haven't noticed any squeaking or problems yet, and I don't expect to. It seems to be a pretty good quality pedal and I love it. I think Amazon does a good job of describing this pedal. I use it with my Yamaha Motif.
