Pachelbel's Canon is the Best Piece of Music Ever Written! June 4, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Fantastic! It never gets old. Why are there no monuments to Pachelbel? The real challenge is to not cry when you hear it. If they send one piece of music to outer space, let it be this one. The human race's greatest piece of music. Buy it.
ugh! April 3, 2000 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
this is a good cd, but unfortunately has to have that stupid cannon on so man times. I like the Cannon but did we really need it that many times. Unlike everyone else who reviewed it, I loved the Cleo Laine "How, Where, When?". It was the one ray of sunshine throughout the whole dark depression. Don't pay any attention to these reviews, because no one can decide for you. Cleo definately showed off her brilliance of harmony, and is a true gem.

I like this a lot, you should definately buy this. Oh, but don't listen to that appalling Cleo Laine one, it's excruciating.
Some very touching songs here .... July 25, 1999 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Pachelbel's Canon is definitely cream of the crop. It is for all ages and the more you listen to it, the more you appreciate it's beauty. I bought this CD as a gift for a friend. She said that this piece brought her tears, it was so beautiful.Even though this collection is my favorite, I wish they had put in a piano solo. I also think that the vocalist in track 5 was not able to bring out the color in Pachelbel's Canon. Overall, a brilliant collection of Pachelbel's greatest hit!
Excellent variations of this classic April 18, 1999 This CD is very good listening. I was disappointed in the fact that the first version of the piece is different on the cassette than the CD. The CD version does not have the "plucking" violin in the background.
