powerful stuff January 24, 2003 This is a good soundtrack no doubt, but the music just doesn't have the same impact on the eardrum and soul when it's separated from the graphic images from the film (which by the way remain scorched onto my retina to this day). Still, it's some intense classical if there's such a thing. Just don't play it for your girlfriend if you're trying to cheer her up.
Awesome! January 16, 2003 Simply one of the best soundtracks ever composed! A great music selection to go along with a great movie! A good cd to pop in if you just want to relax.
Great Score December 30, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While i found the film painfully disturbing, the score/soundtrack evoked many memories from the film, without the tragic pain associated with viewing it. Not an easy CD to listen to, as it is a score, following the musical progression of the film, as opposed to a soundtrack organized for easy/flowing listening. Many great emotionally intense peices, performed by a stellar group - Kronos Quartet!
Amazing. December 28, 2002 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The best movie and the best soundtrack for a movie of all time. There is nothing more to add to that. That is the absolute truth. It will change you, for better or worse.
A soundtrack words cannot describe. December 24, 2002 This soundtrack is the greatest soundtrack I've heard in a while. It is a unique blend of electronic sounds and strings. Who would have thought a mix like that could create such an excellend soundtrack? Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet really did a great job with this CD. I would definatly dub it a must have.
