5 out of 5 stars Great for bedtime   December 28, 2005

We've had this CD since our son was a baby, and now at almost 3, he still loves it. All of the songs are soft and relaxing, so it's the perfect CD for naptime and bedtime. We still play it almost every night when he goes to bed. Of all his many classical CD's, this one is by far his favorite. We all love it so much I'm ordering another one for our next baby.

We listen to this CD during naptime and bedtime. After a bath, I put this CD on and turn on a soft light while reading a few bedtime stories. My daughter knows that it it's time to settle down to sleep. This CD has been a part of our ritual since she was a newborn (she's 10 months old now). We love it. We occassionally use other music to induce sleep, but this one is really warm and wonderful.

4 out of 5 stars Great combination of pieces   November 8, 2005

This is a great compilation. Of course what is great about it is the composers of the music that have nothing to do with Baby Einstein. But all the power to them for taking another simple idea and bringing it forth to our babies. This music is relaxing and educational. Remember (being a music teacher and performer myself,) This should only be the beginning to your childs classical music intoduction.

5 out of 5 stars Warning for Grandparents   October 29, 2005

I first heard this music at my son's house after my new grand-daughter was born. His wife had bought it hoping the new baby would listen and fall asleep to it. The music was like magic and I immediately bought this CD so I would have it at my house also. Between rocking her and listening to the music, I felt myself relaxing and loving every moment. However, I now listen to the music when I go to bed...and it helps me fall asleep. It's a dear lovely piece of work...and falling to sleep listening to classical lullabys at my age seems quite a luxury and a pleasant surprise.

I babysit my five month old nephew every day while my sister is at work. He's a very fussy baby and used to not be able to fall asleep without being held and would need either a pacifer or a bottle. Now he uses neither, and just falls asleep, on his own, listening to the cd. He also used to take only short 20 minute or so naps, but now sleeps at least an hour. My two and a half year old niece likes it too, but it's a godsend when it comes to the baby.
