4 out of 5 stars Our 5 month old twins love this video   May 11, 2005

I was very surprised to read all of the poor reviews for this video. Our twin boys have been watching this video since 3 months and are absolutely captivated by it. It keeps them entertained for an hour to an hour and a half at a time. They kick their legs and swing their arms in excitement and smile and coo throughout. It contains lots of colorful scenes and imagery, along with quality sounds and music. I am by no means a Baby Einstein video connoisseur, as many of the parents who reviewed this DVD speak of all the other videos they have for their babies, but one thing is for sure - if your baby likes this video as much as our boys like it, you will not be disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Not best, but worth a look   May 9, 2005

Unlike others, my daughter (20-month old) likes this BE dvd. She loved it when it was new, watching it constantly. But she also enjoys nature scenes and paintings as much as the toys/kids. She laughs at the zebras, especially when they don on suntan lotion and pretend to be sheep. For a quicker view, she enjoys a guessing game with the extra "Looking at the Seasons."

The only part we both hate are the flashcards. They are the months in several languages which wouldn't be bad if the pictures were engaging, but the scene never changes from a cartoon backdrop. And the other flashcards are art, but they don't have autoplay.

3 out of 5 stars Not one of their best...   May 7, 2005

We have numerous Baby Einstein videos and our 7 month old loves them but this one is a little dull - the puppet shows are fun and great to watch (especially the catchy 'spring' one - but everything in between is a little dull - too many pictures of paintings and not enough "splash" to keep our little girl's attention - her favorite by far is Baby Galileo!!

1 out of 5 stars Lame-don't waste your money   April 25, 2005

Baby Einstein is a wonderful series of videos that usually is clever, colorful, and enchanting. But this one really misses the boat. In fact,it seems to be a lame and weak attempt to squeeze more money out of tired parents.
While the images of the seasons are lovely, the zebra puppets seem inappropriate and out of place. Plus, their inexplicable dance break (to some AWFUL conga music--what happened to the Vivaldi stuff?) is totally lacking in creativity. Also, a lot of the music is recycled from the Baby Newton (shapes) video.
It really seems that Ms. Clark and company are scraping the bottle of the barrel here.
My son loves most of the Baby Einsteins, especially Baby MacDonald and Baby Beethoven. Your money as a parent or grandparent would be much more wisely spent on those than this hackneyed attempt.

1 out of 5 stars Worst Baby Einstein Ever!   April 21, 2005

This does not hold my toddler's interest at all. The puppets are really bad, and there are no toys. He cries when I put it in because he doesn't want to watch this one. Do not buy it...it is a waste of money.
