BE DVD'S April 16, 2007 I AM A HUGE BE FAN! MY SON LOVES THIS DVD AS WELL AS MOST BE DVD'S. HE HAS BEEN WATCHING FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS HE IS 19 MONTHS NOW AND CAN DO ALL THE SIGNS AND SAY THE ITEM BEFORE IT COMES ON SCREEN. IT IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE. FOR SOME REASON THE MUSIC AND PUPPETS KEEP HIM VERY ENGAGED HE IS ABLE TO SIT THROUGH THE ENTIRE DVD. THE MUSIC IS ALSO NICE FOR THE ADULT IN THE HOUSE IT IS PEACEFUL TO HAVE PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND.
Best of the Einstein's April 7, 2007 Most of the Einstein tapes/DVD's bored my daughter but this one is 5*. She began to talk and communicate more after viewing this-this was really her introduction to language. Very educational and delivered where other Baby Einstein tapes/DVD's did not!
Has taught my baby so much! March 30, 2007 My 15 month old has been watching this video since she was around 9 months old alongwith alot of other baby einstein and brainy baby videos. This one is her favorite. She is at the point now where she can identify the objects with speech and sign before the narrators say or sign anything. It has taught her how to ask to have her cup, go for a swing, read a book, and on and on. I completely recommend this video if you want to help your child learn to communicate at an early age.
One of our favorites March 27, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of our favorite Einstein CDs and I think we have them all! Matlin is a great addition and my daughter LOVES watching the kids sign it to her. She's been watching it for a year and a half (is 2 1/2 now) and we still play it once in a while to keep her signing skills sharp. When she's frustrated trying to communicate with us, I've never been more thankful that she has had this skill since about 9 months of age! It's worth your time!!!
Just because its popular doesn't mean its the best... March 23, 2007 ...Or even very good, sometimes. I never liked this video. My two babies and later as toddlers would never watch it. The signing was just ok and not, in my opinion, good enough if you actually want your child to learn and use sign language at home. The animations were uninteresting and even I never could sit through much of it. Instead, I would recommend the Signing Time series Signing Time! Vol. 1: My First Signs DVD for that purpose. My niece and her family very successfully learned to sign using these videos. While I never owned them, they used to come on PBS on Sundays and all of us (husband and 6yr old daughter included) used to watch them. I love the Baby Shakespeare DVD but was incredibly disappointed in this one.
