2 out of 5 stars Boooooo ring.   April 21, 2008

Should have used real power, because obviously his focus on HOW the album was made has impacted WHAT album got made. This is as bland as recycled cardboard, boring as tofu and has no energy at all. Every song sounds like something that ended up on the cutting room floor from his last album, which paled in comparison to his first 2. Worst outing yet. It's the Phantom Menace to the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back of his first 2 fantastic albums.

3 out of 5 stars Good songwriter, not big on variety though   April 17, 2008

I'd like to hear more variety on the CD....he can write songs all day long...but after a while it kind of blends in. Talented no question, just like to hear a bit of a leap on the production. Check out the 7 CD by Poi Dog Pondering for a shinning example of variety. Highly recomended7

I'm a Jack Johnson fan, and this album, while branching out in his subject matter, and the same beautiful style and was thoroughly enjoyable. I have listened frequently since my purchase

I'm a big fan of Jack Johnson, and was super excited to ge this latest CD. Although it's not my favorite of his and I was slightly disappointed, it's a great CD to pop in and listen to as background music.

I hear Jack and I feel relaxed, happy; the kind of music without any special effects, without exaggerations, that makes you feel good. Just feel good.
I also love the fact that he has this enviromental view, the album was recorded with 100% solar energy wich says a lot about Jack and the way he sees life, earth and music.
Get it, you won't regret it.
