I bought this based on the strength of the title track,, Funplex, and was a bit disappointed to find that the album had a highly concentrated club/dance feel. Not bad, but not exactly the classic party sound I expected from the B-52s. Still worth buying at this price for the B52 fan, though.

I am STILL enjoying this album today after purchasing it on the release date. Nowadays, it is not common for me to readily enjoy an album and listen to it religiously on a day to day basis. Being a fan since their debut album, I am very pleased with Funplex. It includes many elements from their prior albums making Funplex an exceptional addition to the B's accomplishments. The album will make you literally want to dance and sing.

If you like the old B-52's then you better get this album...same great UNIQUE B-52!!!

Since I read they were working on a new album, I thought, that probably they would come back with one of those comercial producers featuring rap stars and all that but NO.
They are the same in their most pure essence but completely updated and always innovating.
One of the most original and pioneer bands of all time.
