Worth waiting for!!! July 3, 2008 This is an awesome song collection which makes me want to have everything they have ever recorded. It is like an addiction; I have to listen to it each morning and some of the voices are extraordinary. Now I would like to see them in person. The collection of songs are charming, haunting, and makes one nostalgic. je
Possibly the BEST singing group ever!! July 1, 2008 Celtic Thunder, is without a doubt the best singing group to come along since Celtic Women, but then perhaps i am prejudiced about Irish music on the whole. Both these groups sing their music so effortlessly and so honestly and with such feeling that it all just makes one feel every note and word. It is my daily fix to make it a good day all around.
Great Celtic music July 1, 2008 This is a must for anyone who likes celtic or irish, scottish music. I saw the show on TV and instantly fell in love with the music. A great addition to my collection. You won't be disappointed.
beautiful voices, wanted more June 29, 2008 I was excited to listen to this CD when I bought it (I had never heard or seen them before so this was a brand new experience with them), and it started out great with the first track which I absolutely love. It just went downhill from there. They are all extremely talented and each piece they sing is beautiful, but I feel like this CD wasn't to showcase them as a group. I was looking for more group songs, which in the end there are only TWO. I was also disappointed that the song Puppy Love was on it because as far as I know, that is the farthest from Celtic music which is what I was thinking I was getting.
Not the traditional Irish music I was looking for June 28, 2008 This Celtic Thunder group is definitely not the Celtic Thunder that appears on the Green Linnet albums/CDs -- the lineup is completely different. I loved "Tne Light of Other Days" and "Celtic Thunder" (first album) for the traditional sound of the music. I purchased the new "Celtic Thunder" CD because I was looking for more music from the original group. What I ended up with was an over-orchestrated, easy-listening type album. Some of the tracks were tolerable but too many of the tracks had more in common with Tony Kenny than with traditional music. And some of the tracks are really horrible (Puppy Love????).
If you want traditional Celtic music, stay away from this album. If you are more into the easy listening music, then this album will probably be to your taste.
