5 out of 5 stars Gift for my daughter   July 27, 2008

My dad bought me this, so I'm writing the review on his Amazon account.
It was the best concert I've ever seen. Each of the guys possesses an amazingly beautiful, strong voice and each song (even Puppy Love, believe it or not...) is really great. I was really impressed with the music and the voices. It's definitely worth purchasing.
All of the songs that are re-makes (Desperado, I Want to Know What Love Is, Nights in White Satin, My Boy, etc.) were superb. Some were even better than the originals.
And Keith is really cute : ) (So is Ryan... And Paul... and Damian too, for that matter)

5 out of 5 stars Mesmerizingly Awsome!!!   July 26, 2008

Celtic Thunder is my favorite of all time. Of course I am a senior and still look for good from the past. These gentlemen have my heart. After watching it on PBS I didn't wait long to order it (The Show) Many of my ancestors came from Ireland and I respect anyone who survived and "made do" with what they had in the hard times. "If you have stones, build a fence." So much of it is brought out in the music and I find it heart warming to think that some of these talented people could be in my genealogy. I also love "Celtic Woman" the show. The purest angelic voices and a quaint, brilliant talented group. I have to say the drummers in both DVDs caught my eyes and ears.

This is one of the best DVD's I have seen. Never grow tired of watching it and look forward to their next one.

5 out of 5 stars A Gift of Music   July 26, 2008

I have 4 children under 9 and they all dance and sing with these guys.
We will be at their concert in November when they arive here in L.A.
I have purchased several DVD's as gifts and whoever I have given it to has shown interest in attending the concert together with me and my kids.
Hopefully the CD of all of the songs can be purchased in the future.

5 out of 5 stars I would give it 10 stars if I could   July 24, 2008

I am the director of a library and purchased this DVD for our collection. After reading the great reviews, I thought some of my patrons would like it. After receiving the DVD, I took it home to check it out before it went on the shelf in the library. I watched it 4 times over the weekend and immediately, on Monday morning, purchased the DVD for myself, (and didn't take back the library's copy until I received my own). I have also purchased tickets to see this group in December. I am a singer and love music but have never been so messmerized by a performance as I have been by this group. Not only are they amazingly talented but they are rather wonderful to look at also. I read the review from someone saying it is not "true Celtic". Well, whatever it is, I love it. Ryan Kelly could sing to me everyday.
