Clear the floor! January 9, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When my son lived at home he hung his guitars on these hooks and it was great. He has his own place, a band "Ballyhoo!" and a studio now, so I got more of them for him since he has several guitars. They are functional, good looking and do the job of clearing the floor.
Does color matter? January 1, 2007 I orderd 2 wall hangers to display my grandfather's violins. I was sent 2 hangers, each of different wood colors. One was a light oak; the other a dark walnut. Because this is a display with his picture, the violins are to be side by side. I contacted Gear 1 Music by email to see if I could get a second dark walnut hanger and have never heard a reply. The hanger does what it is supposed to do but no response does not leave a good customer service feeling.
A Must Needed Product For ALL Musicians October 29, 2006 If your instrument is always in your way or more importantly other peoples way, you must have this wall hanger. It works so well and is structured so well, you hardly know it's in your studio!
A useful tool to save space and get you to practice more often June 13, 2006 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This thing isn't some fancy item with tons of features to review, but it does what it's supposed to: it grips your guitar or bass securely, saves some floor space, displays your instrument nicely, and puts it in plain sight and arm's reach so that you can practice more often. I also like the fact that it's wood and not some ugly polyethelyne plastic or something like that. As I couldn't find a stud in my wall, I mounted this thing on the side of my wood bookshelf and it looks and works beautifully. One thing: DO NOT JUST DRILL ANYWHERE INTO YOUR WALL FOR THIS THING!! Make sure you mount it in a stud or on some significant piece of wood, because odds are some day the weight of your guitar or bass will rip it out of drywall and then you may or may not have damaged your instrument. So, buy one or five of these and make a nice display of your axes.
