I purchased this for my daughter, and to be honest, I was a little nervous about the sturdiness and assembly issues spoken of by others. Much to my pleasure, this stand is GREAT. VERY sturdy and, to be quite honest extremely easy to put together. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Believe me...If I can assemble this ANYONE can.
The only thing that bugged me about this is the fact that it was shipped in a box about the size of a refrigerator. Not exactly the most eco-friendly thing I've ever seen.
Over all this is an excellent value for the money. If you can tie your shoes, you won't have any troubles putting this together.

Do not be fooled by Amazon's title "Yamaha PKBX2 Double X Portable Keyboard Stand", this product or the box that it came with did not have any signs of it being associated with Yamaha Brand Name. It took me about 45 minutes to put this together, it could have been 15 minutes if the pieces are labeled. Other than the deceptive advertising and difficulty in assembling this stand, functionally the product appears to be sturdy and it can hold my Yamaha keyboard very well, and the height can be adjusted.
Amazon shipped this in an outer box that can hold at least 10 of these stands. Talk about wastage in shipping cost, plastic air bags and cardboard. I hope Amazon addresses this soon, when Wal-mart can optimize packaging, definitely Amazon can do it.

This is a heavy-duty stand, very sturdy. It was pretty easy to assemble. The only thing I would warn against is that it's designed for a high stool and not for use with a standard chair. I expected to be able to adjust the legs as desribed in the details, which is true, however, the adjustment is limited. I would still recommend purchasing this stand if your looking for an inexpensive, sturdy, well-designed keyboard stand.
Great accessory for keyboard November 6, 2007
I recently bought this stand for my Yamaha keyboard. Fit nicely into the corner of my room. It was a smart purchase all in all.
Good product, but... October 3, 2007
This stand was extremely hard to assemble. The directions included were a simple picture that made no sense. But after much sweat and tears, the stand is perfect for our needs.
