Great buy August 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's cheap, and it does what it is supposed to do. That's it.
Also, I didn't bother to read the manual. Anybody who used a digital tuner or metronome once may learn how to use this one minutes after it's out of the box.
It's plastic, so it's not supposed to be treated as a Boss stomp box. But, for this price, it will be really difficult to find a better option.
The only metronome/tuner at a great price July 16, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the best metronome/tuner I have owned. When I was browsing through all the metronomes at Amazon, all I saw was products that look like iPods, birth control containers, and huge watches. However, when I saw this metronome, it was screaming at me to buy. When I saw that there was only one left in stock, I just had to order it.
Pros: This metronome is the most aesthetic out of the rest. The color scheme is perfect and the buttons are easy to press. You can even output the metronome and reference sounds. The metronome is loud and the display is the very user-friendly and even has a stand. The tuner function is AMAZING and fun. It can sense if your voice (or other instrument) is off tune and if you are singing the correct note. You can even input a mic or instrument via 1/4" cable for tuning. When I started using the tuner I had so much fun and learned at the same time. I am also an organist and choir member and I plan to use it to train the choir and myself in my church.
Cons: This metronome is somewhat portable (lightweight but buttons are not recessed). I wish there was a sturdy case for it since buttons could be pressed in my bag.
Some improvements: -A bluish backlit display (like in Camry '07) -Rubber feet
Bottom Line: The best budget-priced metronome/tuner for choir, singers, and general instrument players.
Complicated June 21, 2007 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
We found this difficult to use. I didn't understand the instructions and couldn't get it to work the way I had hoped. We had planned to use this in teaching our children to play the trumpet. We haven't used it at all.
Everything You Need...All in One. June 12, 2007 The KORG TM-40 Metronome and Instrument Tuner has both the metronome and the tuner all in one unit. This allows you everything you need in one compact item. It is easy to use and easy to travel with.
Fantastic Product June 1, 2007 The metronome works great I like the output because i can hook it up to my amp and practice along with it, and the tuner is great it's cool that it can tune any stringed instrument.
